Maybe nobody has noticed, but Detroit, one of the top manufacturing cities int he world is breathing the death rattle. I have been reading stories and watching vids for a while now and the city and surrounding areas look like they were carpet bombed. And they were. By who?
By derivative salesmen.. the too big too fail Wall Street bastards that brought you the housing bubble and the soon to be released thriller STUDENT LOAN BUBBLE!!!!! ( With ominous echo)
Let me share a vid I find disturbing:
This is about 4 years ago. Inn 10 years the city has lost manufacturing jobs, EMS, Bus service and street lights. Houses are being foreclosed on at a rate that is phenomenal, even in the US. It is estimated that there are 33,000 ( YES! Thirtythree THOUSAND) houses siting empty in Detroit! How can this be? We have over 50,000 homeless in NYC alone, ( registered per week with shelters.. imagine the number NOT registered!), many families WITH jobs, but we have empty houses because the banks are so greedy.
Detroit’s debt is 14 BILLION $$$$ due to Wall Street Financiers because the city invested in a derivative scheme that tanked and the money was rolled over and over to try and recover it and ballooned to a debt owed. The irony is that the only profit being seen is from the city owned casinos that must send all profit to pay on the Wall Street Gambling debt! Whether the city council was in on the fraud is telling and matters not at this point.. Why?
Because, even though Michigan citizens voted down a law that would allow the state to take over failing municipalities, Gov. Snyder appointed an attorney to be the Czar of Detroit, paying him 275,000$ annually and a 200,000$ expense account to “fix” Detroit!
Another Irony in the making, rumor has it the Attorney, Kevyn Orr, worked for one of the Firms Detroit owes part of the $14 Billion to.
So, while many in America are working retail and service wages, eating peanut butter and crackers for dinner, skipping medications and thanking our corrupt Gov’t for us NOT being “broke” like Cyprus or New Zealand, we have Detroit and the sequester. Look up, Americans. Take off the sheeple garb, get out of the Wal-Mart out look and PAY ATTENTION!!!!
